Game Overview

Central West Virginia were looking to defend their #1 ranking in the region they worked so hard to obtain during the season. Bridges had missed games prior to the regional tournament due to flu like symptoms. While still suffering from his sickness Bridges played in the game and picked up right where he left off during the regular season as one of the most explosive, versatile and athletic players in the nation.

"I'm telling you what, that Bridges is some kind of player both defensively and offensively. He's so tough to guard because he can score from the outside and can break a defensive down with his penetration to the basket and score or give nice passes to his teammates so they can easily score as well. He's quick to the hole in the post area (had impressive put backs on post moves) and he can rebound. Defensively he had my players changing their shots, deflecting their passes, and we were trying to run our plays away from him but he seemed to be everywhere on defense (on and off the stat sheets he is a tremendous player) Bridges is tough !!
